Since coming across this poster by
Venti Cafe I have read, and re-read, this quote based on the "Faith Poem" by Patrick Overton marveling at the universal principle of faith. This principle is so eternal that virtually everyone has faith in something. For many it is God, for others it is science, some have faith in the justice system, some in the good of humanity, some have faith in a particular leader or philosophy, others have faith in the love of their parents. Those few in the world who do not have faith in something are sad and depressed individuals. If traditional scriptural descriptions of faith are not serving you at this time consider this faith poem—
When you have come to the edge of all light that you know
and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught to fly.
