Fruits and vegetables are a wonderful treat during the summer. You can make some great salads full of flavor and vitamins to help us have strong healthy bodies so we can run and not be weary.
July is a season for some delicious fruits and vegetables:

- Bananas--try frozen or in your cereal
- Grapefruit--sprinkle with a little sugar and enjoy in a savory salad
- Lemons--full of Vitamin C and great for a refreshing glass of lemonade
- Mandarin Oranges--great in any salad or stir fry
- Oranges--delicious as a juice or as a yummy treat to boost your energy
- Brusselsprouts--delicious when boiled and drizzled with a little butter
- Broccoli--Vitamin C & K to promote healthy bones and stave off cancer.
- Carrots--lots of carotene for healthy eyes and a great finger snack or great addition to any dinner plate
- Cauliflower--healthy, crunchy snack with some ranch for dipping, or nice texture for soup
- Fennel--great in a salad or a homemade sauce to put over those grilled, summer steaks
- Mushroom--great in salads, stir fry, sauces, stews
- Potato--great source of folate and sweet potatoes have lots of Vitamin A for immunity boosting!
